EXCERPT FROM THE FLIGHT LOG OF SQUADRON 6

3rd of December 1941
- Reconnaissance flight: 3.12.1941. Time: 11:15 - 12:30.
- Observations: The AA-battery and the four guns in Gunnarsören looks to be destroyed. There is not a soul around and no boats. The four AA-guns in Dödö looks to be destroyed. There is no people or boats around. The same thing in Russarö, no people or boats. Two guns located, from which one has been destroyed, as the barrel of the gun looks twisted.
- There is two guns in the mid track in southern railway battery. In the northern railway battery there is something, which looks like a gun in the mid track. Airfield looks operational when looking at
it from the air. There is four coaches in the Tvärminne railway battery. Three of the coaches are together. No guns can be seen. No people or boats are located in Hästö-Busö. The islands of Koö, Ekö and Hermansö are also empty.
- The trench line, which goes through the Hanko Cape, is empty. Bunkers have been destroyed. The city of Hanko looks intact. One ship spotted in the eastern bay of Hanko. The ship looks like a barge. The houses which are located in Lappohja looks to be destroyed. These observations
have been done at an altitude of 50 to 100 meters.

- Structure 651 cannot be found from the area. It
sems to be a very common thing among the structures, which were numbered
starting with a number six, that those have advanced only to the planning
stages.
