EXCERPT FROM THE FLIGHT LOG OF RECONNAISSANCE AND BOMBER FLIGHT

23th of November 1941 

- Reconnaissance flight: 23.11.1941. Time: 08:45 - 10:40. 

- Observations: At 10:00: Near of the Russarö island in the south-east side is a one surfaced submarine. The submarine is stationary. The sea in the area of Porkkala - Naissaar - Osmussaar - Bengtskär is empty from ships.

 - This is all that would seem to be remaining from the command post 459. The only visible pit in the area.

- A huge amount of small stones lies all around the pit, memories from the dugout construction.

 - Near of the intersection area, which can be seen in the north side of the command post when looking at the map, is several dugout remains, which are very visible in the terrain. The above picture shows one of these and the entrance to the dugout is still visible on the right side of the picture.
