EXCERPT FROM THE FLIGHT LOG OF RECONNAISSANCE AND BOMBER FLIGHT

(History of the Hanko Group, T-22005, Military Archives of Finland)

4th of December 1941

- Reconnaissance flight: 4.12.1941. Time: 09:30 - 11:40. 

- Observations: Two motorboats spotted in the area of Kallbåda. The boats were heading to direction 80 degrees. The boats were bombed and fired with machine guns. Additionally one VMV-class boat spotted near of Russarö, which was bombed.

- According to the map symbol, the structure 441 was a machine gun nest. There is no structure build from a concrete in the area, but a nest dug into the ground can be found. The firing direction is similar with the direction shown in the fortification map. This remains however is located quite far away from the spot where the map indicates it to be.

- The nest itself has collapsed a bit, but still in the middle of a very dense fir forest, you can see the nest and the communication trench, which leads to it.
