| Note |
Even more strange remark from the year 1955 than in
the fortification card for the structure 407.
The army personnel clearly have had the fortification cards in their
use, because they have copied the comment from the 1942 fortification
card to their remarks, but why they have not found the structure is a
good question. One and most likely option is that this particular
structure disappeared from the landscape between the years 1942 to 1955.
Now in 2006 there is clear signs that there has been a mining job
performed in the area, as stones are all over the hill, but the actual
mined structure cannot be found anymore. One option is that there is a
big mistake with these fortification cards and this card actually gives
information about the structure 408,
which according to the map symbols was planned to be a machine gun nest
like structure 409. That structure is mined and can be found from the area. If
that would be correct, then the sector center line is all wrong, as the
firing direction for structure 408
is about 250 degrees.

Dated: 15.9.1942 & 28.3.1955
- The first inventory in the Harparskog-line was made in
1942, when the Finnish Defence Forces made the first fortification cards for the
structures in Harparskog-line. In 1955 the structures in the defensive line were
inspected once again and at that time, description part for the original
fortification cards were made. The description from 1955 gives very detailed
information about the structures, as there's even a full inventory what should be in
the structures and what is missing.
- Notes are based on my own personal observations in the
defensive line during the years 2005 & 2006.
