ATTACK TO VRAKHOLMEN, PART I (History of the Hanko Group, T-22005, Military Archives of Finland)
- The entrance into the bunker has been kept open from garbage, but otherwise the structure has been buried rather effectively under the trees.
- Communication trench.
- Entrance into the structure.
- Rust has taken over the whole bunker.
- The entrance into the accommodation area.
- One of the two embrasures.
- A well.
- The large accommodation areas of the bunker. The structure is a very interesting one, when it comes to the interiors. There is no second structure in Harparskog-line like this, which would be unlocked and free to visit. However the structure is located right in the yard of a summer cottage, so if there are people nearby, it is polite to go and ask permission, before walking the edge of the yard to the structure.
- Accommodation area.
- The rusted ladders into the observation cupola. Either the cupola was never mounted or it has been removed.
- The camouflaging of the front wall has been completed and it is a very impressive looking.
- Art on the bunker roof. |
