EXCERPT FROM THE FLIGHT LOG OF RECONNAISSANCE AND BOMBER FLIGHT

30th of November 1941 

- Reconnaissance flight: 30.11.1941. Time: 10:05 - 11:15. 

- Observations: There is a transport ship with two funnels in the Hanko harbour. Additionally one minesweeper is in the anchorage. Fire is spotted in the peninsula of "Kronans Område". One small ship spotted in the north-east side of Russarö. Otherwise the sea in the area of Porkkala - Örö is empty from enemy surface vessels.

- Communication trench, which connects the structures a & b.

- Old ladders lead down to the communication trench. Millions of ants now march down to the trench, using these ladders.

- Stairs into the machine gun nest.

- Door into the machine gun nest. The structure number is not visible anymore above the door.

- Interiors of the nest seen towards the embrasure.

- View towards the exit.

- Embrasure seen from the outside. The structure is well camouflaged in between of the rocks.

- Only a mined pit is ready from the machine gun bunker, which was planned and started to construct next to the machine gun nest.

- The mined pit seen from another direction. The sector has been mined.

- The stones nearby contain traces from the mining job carried here.
